When Roland is
not performing or teaching--or working on
his 3rd masters degrees at the New England Conservatory of Music--he's
composing classical, third-stream , and jazz works which have included dancers,
poets, painters, and vocalists.

In 2008, his
classical string quartet won a National Competition: DownBeat Award
In 2002, he won ASCAP/SCI Classical Composition Contest, West
Coast.
His pieces have been performed in concerts in the U.S. and
abroad.
